Hard escapism in seeking of comfort
A fantasy longing in extorted freedom
Finally found at the end of the railway
Made out of cold painless steel
Now that I've made this step
I cannot make it to let it go
One split second changed my existence
The filthy plague I have been is gone
I've never meant to stay any longer
Yet again no mourn to be held
But miserable crocodile tears
Your cries won't be heard from here
The time to hear me is now gone
I moved on and there's no need to hide
I am no longer in this hell called earth
Freedom now shines through me
- ACT 2: CROWNING
I've fought so hard in my lifetime
And I had the need to martyr me
As the answers to the quests I had inside
Have been found too late
As these were hidden in my suicide
...Suicide
In this unholy early departure
I have found deserved relief
In this wooden coffin for mine
I have found my crowning rest
Imprisoned in this pale flesh
From which i tried to free myself
And got home merely scarred
Even more deluded and confined
- ACT 3: MEMORIAL
This is going to be the epitaph
For my self-righteous farewell
Goodbye my friends
...Goodbye

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Insoutenable... Jordan Vauvert

Great Belgian black metal with a raw production and plenty of atmosphere.
The vocals sounds like they're performed by someone who're in immense pain at times, which suits the music perfectly.
I can easily recommend all three demos from Oerheks. sardonicwrath

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
Crushing blackened doom from this German band that counterbalances blinding fury with moments of surprising, melancholy melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2023
Tokyo band contrast black metal's brutal complexity with shoegaze's abyssal grandeur, resulting in an LP that feels crushing, yet infinite. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2022

Masterful use of acoustic passages and synth stuff. This is definitely my favorite black metal-dungeon synth kinda album I've found recently. Each track flows into the next so well, I cannot recommend it enough. Perri
